Both Nico and Carol will begin their summer in early May when they join Marcie and Gregory Stapp in San Francisco with the CASTEL-STAPP MASTER CLASSES. Two five-session "Making It Professional" workshops with both Nico and Carol will be offered. Private coaching sessions will be available with both Castels. Carol and Nico will again join OperaNUOVA in Edmonton, Canada in May and June of 2003. Nico will teach diction, coach all participants and prepare the language and style of the productions. Carol will again teacher her four-week class, "Creative Process for Singers", as well as direct a fully-staged and fully-produced opera production for the program. OperaNUOVA is a summer intensive opera program open to young Canadian singers offering study and collaboration with eminent scholars and performers and the practical experience of performing with an orchestra in a fully-staged and fully-produced opera production. Nico will again join the staff of the Santa Fe Opera Company during June where he will help prepare productions as well as work with the young singers in the Apprentice program.

In August Nico will return to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in Shanghai, China to again join the teaching staff of the International Vocal Arts Institute. Carol's plans include directing a production of "La Traviata" for the Waco Lyric Opera Company in Waco, Texas.
