The CASTELS are in full swing in New York! Nico's next two volumes to be published in his Opera Libretti Series are: Miscellaneous German Opera Libretti which includes: Hansel und Gretel, Fidelio, Der Freischutz, Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor, Der Fliegended Hollander, Lohengrin, Tannhauser and French Opera Libretti Volume III which includes: Les Troyens, Louise, Don Quixotte, Les Huguenots, Le Prophete, Cendrillon. Nico continues to be on the faculty of The Juilliard School of Music in New York and is in his 35th year at the Metropolitan Opera Company.

Nico's private classes are being offered through the newly established New York Opera Studio, now in its second year. These classes are: The I.P.A. De-mystified, Spanish Lyric Diction and Vocal Repertoire and Opera Role Study.

The ever popular Making It Professional master class with both Nico and Carol Castel is also being offered through the NYOS.

Carol Castel has finally brought her workshop: Acting, Artistry and the Creative Process for Singers to New York through the NYOS. This class was originally offered by the Opera NUOVA program in Edmonton Canada by Ms. Castel in 1999 and has been developed over the past 6 years into the only class of its kind. Singers explore not only acting and performance craft but learn how to identify and develop the artist within and how to make artistic choices in their singing.

Ms. Castel continues her Voice Studio and Private Coaching both in New York and San Francisco. In addition to Opera Directing she is also the founder and General Manager of the newly established New York Opera Studio.
