The newly established "New York Opera Studio" and its founders Carol and Nico Castel, are dedicated to bringing together opera professionals and students of opera. Although still in the planning stages, the organization aspires to bring New York City its first and only "community conservatory" for the study of opera. It plans to offer opera professionals a platform from which they can share their knowledge and experience and young singers a place to learn operatic, both musical and theatrical, crafts and techniques as well as practical performing experiences.
